T এবং U-W-Y দ্বারা গঠিত অর্থ সহকারে কিছূ প্রয়োজনীয় Phrases দেওয়া হল।

Take to heart (cut to the quick, মর্মাহত হওয়া)-He took his remark to heart.
Take to one's heels (to run away, পালানো)-The thieves took to their heels to see the police.
Take into account-বিবেচনা করা- consider- Your activities should be taken into account.
Three R's (elementary education, প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা)— He has not yet learnt the three R's.
Three score – ষাট, ৬০- three times twenty- He is happy as his brother got three score.
To and fro (hither and thither, এদিক ওদিক)-The man is walking to and fro.
Take one to task (rebuke, তিরস্কার করা)— He  took me to task for negligence of duty.
Tooth and nail (strongly, প্রবলভাবে)-He fought tooth and nail against his enemy.
Through thick and thin (through all difficulties, সমস্ত সমস্যার মধ্যে)-Ruma followed her husband through thick and thin.
Tide over- বিপদ অতিক্রম করা-overcome - The manager tided over the situation.
To meet trouble half-way – পুরোপুরি মোকাবেলার আগেই হাল ছেড়ে দেয়া। To be puzzled হতবুদ্ধি হওয়া- He met trouble half way after getting the instructions.
To the backbone (to the core, হাড়ে হাড়ে) —The boy is wicked to the backbone.
To the contrary (against what some one had said, পক্ষান্তরে) —He said nothing to the contrary.
To the letter (in all details, অক্ষরে অক্ষরে) —Follow my advice to the letter.
Turn over a new leaf (begin a new phase of life, নবজীবন শুরু করা) —After his failure he turned over a new leaf.
Turn a deaf ear to (pay no attention, প্রত্যাখান করা) —He turned a deaf ear to my proposal.
Turn down (refuse, প্রত্যাখান করা) —He turned down my proposal.

Up and doing (active, কর্মঠ) —Be up and doing and then you will succeed in life.
Up and downs (rise and fall, উত্থান পতন)—There are ups and downs in a man's life.
Utopian scheme (আকাশ কুসুম কল্পনা)It is nothing but an utopian scheme.
Up to date (সময় উপযোগী)-Her result is not up to date.
Under consideration (বিবেচনাধীন)-His appeal is under consideration.
Under the aegis of (পৃষ্টপোষকতায়)___We established a school under the aegis of Rahim.
Under cover of darkness (রাতের আধারে)___He stole my all under cover of darkness.
Well up (সুপন্ডিত)— He is well up in English.
Well to do (স্বচ্ছল) — They came of a well to do family.
Well off (স্বচ্ছল)— He is not well off.
What not (আরও কত কি)—He gave me a pen, a book, a pencil and what not.
With one voice (এক বাক্যে)— He agreed with one voice.
With flying colours –  বিজয়দৃপ্তভাবে-victoriously- The students were running with flying colous.
White elephant (a costly unprofitable undertaking, খরচযুক্ত অলাভহীন পদক্ষেপ)—At last the department proved to be a white elephant.
White color job –  উচ্চ শ্রেনীর চাকরি, যেখানে শারীরিক কাজ নেই বললেই চলে- a job without manual labour- He wants a white color job.
Weal and woe (joy and sorrow, সুখ দঃখ) —Human life is full of weal and woe.
Wild goose chase (useless pursuit, পন্ডশ্রম) —Do not waste time in wild goose chase.
Widow's mite (small contribution of a poor man, গরিবের অল্পদান)— A widow's mite is no less important than a large contribution of a rich man.
With the sweat of one’s brow (মাথার ঘাম পায়ে ফেলে) — He earns his livelihood with the sweat of his brow.
With a lavish hand (মুক্ত হস্তে)— Give away something with a lavish hand.
With might and main (যথা শক্তি দিয়ে) —He tried with might and main to help me.
Yellow dog (হীন ব্যাক্তি) —A yellow dog like him can never prosper in life.
Yeoman’s service (নিঃস্বার্থ ভাল কাজ)—He did yeoman’s service for me.
