Definite Article ( নির্দিষ্ট পদাশ্রিত নির্দেশক )

Definite Article ( নির্দিষ্ট পদাশ্রিত নির্দেশক  )  :  যে Article কোন ব্যক্তি বস্তু বা প্রাণীকে নির্দিষ্ট করে বুঝায় তাকে Definite Article বলে । সংক্ষেপে The কে definite Article বলে, কারন ইহা কোন নির্দিষ্ট ব্যক্তি, প্রাণী বা বস্তুকে বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয় ।

The pen is new.

•          The book is old.

•          The man who came here yesterday.

•          The cow is white.

•          The girl who sang a song yesterday morning.

 “The” is referred to as a definite article. It is used to modify specific or particular nouns.

Example:

o    I really liked the book you gave me.

এখানে article “the” নির্দিষ্ট করে বইটিকে বোঝাচ্ছে যা আমাকে কেউ দিয়েছে ।
